Nigerian singer-songwriter Divine Ikobor (Famously known as Rema ), born on May 1, 2000, is one of a select group of singers who are considered future stars of the Afrobeats genre. The creator and music icon of the Afro-Rave genre is known as Rema.
His road to fame began when he signed with Jonzing World, a division of Mavin Records, after being spotted by A&R manager and talent D’Prince. After the release of his debut album, Rema, featuring Iron Man and Dumebi, Rema established himself as a major player in the music industry.

Rema Career
Rema didn’t start high school right after finishing high school. While waiting for his luck to strike, he developed as a musician, refining his voice in the process.
In 2018, his prayers were answered after he posted a free music video of Gucci Gang Di Prince’s song on Instagram. Dee Prince saw the video when it was posted on social media and was immediately taken aback by Rima’s skills.
After that, D’Prince – an A&R manager and talent manager – contacted Rema and began to develop the young performer. In 2019, he signed with Mavin Records subsidiary Jonzing World.

Excited by Rema’s growing fan base, Dumebi’s music video was released on May 21. It has over 50 million views on YouTube since its launch. Rima did not wait for the excitement of the success of his first EP to wear off and released his next project in 2019 titled Bad Commando. Songs like Bad Commando, Rewind, Boulevard, American Love and Spiderman are included in the EP. Rima’s popularity rose with this second act, which brought her new admirers at home and abroad.
