If you want to gain admission into a Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education in 2025, one important step to take is to Upload Your Result (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) on the JAMB portal.
Even if you scored high in UTME, you won’t be considered for admission unless your O’Level result is uploaded. This applies to both students who used Awaiting Result and those who already have their results.
In this article, you’ll learn:
When to upload your O’Level result
How to upload it (step-by-step)
How to confirm if it has been uploaded successfully
When Should You Upload Your O’Level Result?
After taking your UTME and receiving your score, you should upload your result immediately. This is required before any school can process your admission.
Direct Entry (DE) candidates must also upload their O’Level result while completing the DE application on the JAMB portal.
How to Upload Your O’Level Result on the JAMB Portal 2025
You can upload your result in two ways:
At an accredited JAMB CBT center
Through the JAMB e-Facility portal online
Steps to Upload via the JAMB eFacility Portal:
Log in with your JAMB registration number and password
Click “Check Admission Status”
On the CAPS page, click “My O’Level Result”
Select your exam type (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) and exam year
Upload your scanned result (must be clear and less than 50KB, in JPEG or PNG)
Double-check your subject grades and submit
How to Check If Your O’Level Result Was Uploaded
After uploading, you need to confirm if it was successful:
Log in to your dashboard
Click “Access My CAPS”
Select “My O’Level Result”
If your subjects and grades appear, the upload was successful
If it says “AR” (Awaiting Result) or the section is empty, it wasn’t uploaded. Return to a CBT center to re-upload.

To avoid missing out on admission, it is very important to upload your result before your chosen school’s admission deadline. Make sure the scanned result is clear, readable, and in the correct format (JPEG or PNG), as unclear uploads may lead to disqualification or delays.
If you’re not confident to upload your result yourself, visit any accredited JAMB CBT center for proper guidance. After uploading, regularly log in to the JAMB CAPS portal to monitor your admission status and confirm that your result appears correctly under the “My O’Level Result” section.
