He is well-known for his roles as bad boys and villains in the films in which he appears.

Early Life & Education
A few weeks before Nigeria gained independence in 1960, Hanks Anuku was born in Ibadan, Nigeria.
The largest city in West Africa, Ibadan, is where he was raised and completed his elementary and secondary schooling.
But the well-known actor is a native of Delta State.
After obtaining Ghanaian citizenship in 2017, Hanks Anuku changed his name from Hanks Anuku to Nana Kwame Fifi Kakra Anuku and moved to Accra, Ghana, with his family.
Hanks Anuku is now a recognized citizen of Ghana after giving up his Nigerian citizenship.
Education
Ibadan is where Hanks Anuku completed his elementary and secondary schooling. After completing his secondary school at Auchi Polytechnic in Auchi, Edo State, he continued his studies there and earned a higher national diploma (HND) in mass communication in 1981. He attended Loyola College in Ibadan.
Career
Shortly after his return from a brief acting career in the US (he is a naturalized US citizen), Hanks Anuku entered the film industry in 1993.
However, the tall, fair-skinned actor did not make his film debut until 1994, when he starred in Fidelis Duker’s Skeleton. He took use of Skeleton’s popularity to star in several films, including as Django, Wild Romance, Akidi, and Dear Sister.
Hanks Anuku first gained recognition in the business in 1994 after starring in the hit film The Senator. This role elevated him above his peers at the time, and he was able to take full advantage of his celebrity to further his career.

Hanks Anuku is a polyglot who speaks proficiently in three European languages: Italian, German, and French in addition to Igbo and Yoruba.
